The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commended the Osile of Oke-Ona Ẹgba, Oba Adewale Tejuoso for utilizing his yearly birthday anniversary as a platform for kings to worship the Almighty God, the King of Kings.
Abiodun made this statement at this year's Kings' Day of Praise held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Event Centre, Abeokuta to commemorate the 87th birthday of the Monarch, an event which is held annually for kings to worship God.
He also noted that the annual kings Day of Praise exemplified the weight of Obas' responsibility, saying their stewardship role transcends their communities, and commitment to the welfare of their people.
‘’Their presence here today is a testament to their unwavering faith, their belief in the power of prayer, and their dedication to seeking God's guidance in their kingdoms’’, the governor noted.
Prince Abiodun said the life and long reign of Oba Adewale Tejuoso is a testament of God's grace and benevolence as he clocks 87.
The Governor, represented by the Secretary to Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi said, "it is with immense joy and profound respect that I stand before you today, on this auspicious occasion of the Kings' Day of Praise, a day dedicated to the worship of our Almighty God and a day that holds special significance as we celebrate the 87th birthday of our revered Oba Osile of Oke-Ona Egba".
Abiodun while congratulating the King on the milestone, added that he was " deeply honoured to be part of this gathering, a gathering that underscores the importance of unity, faith, and the unwavering pursuit of God's guidance in all that we do."
He commended Oba Osile for supporting his administration, saying that he rejoiced with Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, on his 87th birthday, a man who embodies the virtues of leadership, wisdom, and unwavering faith. The Governor pointed out that, his reign had long been marked by a deep commitment to the well-being of his people with dedication to upholding traditional values, and a profound faith in the Almighty God.
The Governor assured that his administration would continue to work hand-in-hand with the monarchs towards creating a state where peace, prosperity, and God’s principles would remain the cornerstone of the society.
