Staff of Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) have been urged to prove their mettles by redoubling their efforts in the discharge of their duties in order to achieve effective service delivery.
The Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Mrs. Melutia Ogunremi, gave the charge during a New Year prayer session held at the TESCOM Conference room, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
In her pep talk, Ogunremi appreciated God for His mercy and protection over the management and staff of the agency in the past years and urged all to be prayerful as prayer is the bedrock of all life achievements.
The Permanent Secretary reminded the staffers of the need to abide by the Oath of Secrecy, be disciplined and clarify issues when in doubt.
In his own address to the staff, the Commissioner (ii) in TESCOM, Hon. Moruf Adesegun, spoke on the significance of teamwork and unity within the Commission, saying the spirit of collaboration was instrumental in achieving significant results over the past year. He implored the staff, to be more dedicated to duties in the coming year.
On her part, the Principal-General, Remo Division, Dr. (Mrs.) Womiloju Ayodele, while speaking on behalf of other Principals-General, called on the staffers to be more committed to their jobs, stating that reward for hard work often transcends monetary benefits, while long-term gains could be achieved through diligence and dedication.
In their prayers and admonitions, the Islamic Cleric, Mr. Basit Biobaku, prayed for abundant blessings and success, as well as Allah's guidance over the conduct and activities of the Commission, while his counterpart in the Christendom, Revd. Jacob Adeaga, read his exhortation prayers from Psalms 34:20, which states that, "He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken", highlighted the themes of safety, healing, and divine intervention as gifts from God.
