War Against Drug Abuse: Asiwaju Wahab calls for multifaceted Approach

The President of the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab has called for a multifaceted approach and urgent remedial action on the issue of drug abuse in the country.

Asiwaju Wahab called on the Federal Government to prioritize the war against drug abuse campaign, citing its devastating effects on individuals, families, and the nation as a whole.

According to him: "The menace of drug abuse has reached alarming proportions, affecting not only the youth but also women, and its long-term effects will undoubtedly impact peaceful coexistence and economic growth in Nigeria."

Asiwaju Wahab made the call this week while interacting with journalists at a one-day training workshop on drug - abuse prevention strategies organized for Gbagura women community, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

The Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation has been at the forefront of anti-drug campaigns, launching initiatives such as:
* Drugs: A Hope Destroyer,
* Break Free from the Chains of Addiction,
* Drug Abuse: A Harbinger of Death,The Drug Abuser Cries, While the Dealer Profits, 
* Drugs: a Dream Destroyer and
* Drug Abuse: a Messenger of Mortality etc. 
The foundation has also received international recognition for its efforts in combating drug abuse .

Asiwaju's call to action echoes the foundation's commitment to creating a drug-free environment, particularly in schools . 

The foundation urges the federal and state governments to take immediate action to address the growing menace of drug abuse and ensure a safer, healthier future for Nigerians.
