The state Pilgrims Welfare Board announced the commencement of the exercise yesterday, noting that registration of intending Pilgrims also begins immediately.

In a release signed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alh. Ajibola Taiwo, the board claimed to be acting on the spur of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Alh. Taiwo indicated that interested applicants should pay the N8.5million initial deposit, pending the final announcement of the fare adding that those who had already paid part payment should endeavour to meet the initial hajj deposit, as hajj seats would be first come, first served basis.

He noted that payment for initial deposit should be through Bank Draft or direct payment into the Board’s designated bank accounts, not more than three installments.

Interested applicants are advised to visit the Board’s office at Block B, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, for more enquiries.
