...Says patience is needed to enable governments respond to their demands
Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State has commended youths in the state for being law abiding by opting for constructive engagement with government, rather than rancorous protests.
Abiodun was speaking during the inauguration of the Governing Council of Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State at the Executive Chamber of the Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, yesterday.
The governor commended those in the state for being law-abiding through their constructive engagement with government while appealing to them to be patient, to enable the Federal and state government respond to their demands
The governing council comprises of Mr. Wole Sowole as Chairman, while Engr. Femi Omotayo, Revd. Bola Oyeledun, Major Gen. Bamidele Shafa (Rtd.) and Prince Kayode Tejuoso would serve as members.
Abiodun, during the inauguration said Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Science and Technology was instrumental to the development of teachers and the education sector of the state and the country as a whole.
‘’The founder of the institution, Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, whose name the institution bears, is extremely passionate about the development of the institution and has begun to raise funds for its growth’’, he said.
He charged members of the governing council to use their diverse knowledge and skills to uplift the college, in order to complement his administration's effort towards building the future of the state, urging them to abide by the Oath of Office and justify the confidence reposed in them.
