Distinguished Guests, Esteemed Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with profound gratitude and a deep sense of purpose that I stand before you today as the President of the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation.

It is indeed an honor to address this esteemed gathering at the International Convention of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to the organizers for providing us with this invaluable platform to discuss, share, and collaborate on our mutual goal of eradicating drug abuse.

I am extremely happy to have received an invitation from the Foundation for a Drug-Free World in Los Angeles, United States, to share our efforts in combating drug abuse in Nigeria with the esteemed assembly at the convention. On behalf of the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation team, I am indeed very grateful for this honour.

At the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, we firmly believe that the foundation of any prosperous society lies in the health and well-being of its people. Drug abuse poses a significant threat to this well-being, undermining the potential of individuals and the fabric of our communities. It is our mission to combat this menace and ensure a drug-free world for future generations.

Our efforts at the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation are multifaceted, encompassing education, prevention, rehabilitation, and community engagement. We have established numerous programs aimed at educating the youth about the dangers of drug abuse, providing support to those struggling with addiction, and fostering environments that promote healthy and drug-free lifestyles.

In alignment with the aims and objectives of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, we have initiated the following key programs:

1. *Educational Campaigns:* We conduct extensive educational outreach in schools, communities, and workplaces. Our programs are designed to inform and empower individuals with the knowledge needed to resist the lure of drugs. By partnering with educators and community leaders, we aim to build a well-informed society that can make healthier choices.

2. *Rehabilitation and Support Services:* Understanding that addiction is a complex issue, we offer comprehensive rehabilitation services that include counseling, medical assistance, and aftercare programs. Our approach is holistic, focusing not only on overcoming addiction but also on restoring individuals to productive and fulfilling lives.

3. *Community Engagement:* We actively involve community members in our initiatives, fostering a sense of collective responsibility. Through workshops, seminars, and community events, we create platforms for open dialogue and mutual support, reinforcing the message that a drug-free life is attainable and desirable.

4. *Advocacy and Policy Support:* We work closely with policymakers to advocate for laws and policies that support drug prevention and rehabilitation efforts. Our aim is to influence positive changes that make it easier for individuals to access the help they need and harder for drug traffickers to operate.

We deeply appreciate the unwavering support of the Foundation for a Drug-Free World. Your resources, research, and global network have been instrumental in enhancing the impact of our initiatives. Together, we have made significant strides, but there is still much work to be done.

The Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation is committed to continuing this fruitful collaboration. We promise to uphold the highest standards of dedication and integrity in our shared mission. By working together, we can amplify our efforts and move closer to realizing our vision of a world free of drug abuse.

In conclusion, let us remember that the fight against drug abuse is not one we can win alone. It requires a collective effort, unwavering commitment, and the strength of our global community. I am confident that by maintaining our partnership and continuing to innovate and adapt our strategies, we will achieve our goal.

Thank you for your attention, and thank you for your tireless efforts in this noble cause. Let us forge ahead with renewed vigor and determination.

May we all be inspired and empowered to make a lasting difference.

Thank you, and God bless.
