Barrister John Femi Aina, the publisher of The village News, a national daily has emerged the chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ogun state.
Aina became the new chairman of the party in the state at the congress of the party held at the party secretariat in Adatan, Abeokuta, Ògùn state,
The congress had in attendance Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, Alh Tajudeen Gambo,Mallam Dongoamama, Alh Taofeek Adeleke and 3 officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mrs Olaoye Adenike, Mrs Adeniyi Sade and Ogunfowola Abimbola, and a huge turnouts of members of the party.
Speaking shortly after his election, the new chairman thanked all the members of the party for the trust reposed in him and gave kudos to the all the contestants for the sportsmanship displayed during and after the election.
Barrister Aina promised to take the party to greater heights and pleaded for the loyalty of all members to the party.
In his own speech, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi congratulated the new executive and tasked them to work towards 2027 elections.
He also advised all the members of NNPP in Ogun State to give their support to Barrister John Aina led exco and in order to allow peace to reign in the party.
