...Swears-in Onasanya as 20th HoS
The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has promised that his administration would continue to fulfil all its promises to the state public service and ensure formulation and implementation of policies benign to its development and growth.
The state helmsman also promised to ensure continued provision of adequate working tools for the public service, emphasising commitment not only to the service but also to the broader development of humanity.
Prince Abiodun who was speaking at the swearing-in of the 20th Head of Service (HoS) in the state Civil Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, charged the new appointee to raise the standard of the state public service.
At the swearing-in of the new HoS, at the Executive Chambers of the Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Prince Abiodun urged Onasanya to tread the path of excellence his predecessors were known for, as the bearer of the legacy bequeathed by the forebears of the Public Service.
He noted that the appointment of Kehinde Onasanya was a call to greater service, pointing out that the Office is a critical position that oversees the operation of the Civil Service, in fostering the culture of efficiency, transparency and accountability.
The governor, who reminded the new HoS that the state has a legacy of excellence which must be jealously protected, admonished him to tread the path of success as depicted by the proud pioneers and forebears of the public service in the state and lead with high standards of integrity, as well as professionalism for the Civil Service to follow.
While appreciating the Governor for being a man of equity and fairness, Mr. Onasanya, assured that he would continue to ensure discipline, improve the ethical standard of the service and work in tandem with the state government's agenda for increased Internally Generated Revenue.
He solicited the cooperation of Civil Servants, to take the state to a greater pedestal, calling on them to embrace the Ogun State Health Insurance Scheme, in order to access qualitative healthcare services.
