Asiwaju Wahab expresses sorrow at Iyalode Lawson's demise

As throngs from all walks of life began to register their condolences with the family of Chief Alaba Lawson, the Iyalode of yorubaland who died in the early hours of yesterday, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, the Chairman of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, a non governmental organization (NGO) for combatting drug abuse has also extended his sympathy to the family.

In a Condolence Message signed on his behalf by Mrs Elizabeth Eweje, the Chief Executive of Asiwaju Dapo Wahab foundation, the chairman of the foundation expressed deep sorrow on the irreparable loss of Iyalode Lawson.

Asiwaju Wahab who is also the Chairman of Ifedara-Opeji Area Community Development Council (ACDC) in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State in his condolence message to the Lawson family and the entire Yoruba community on the loss of Iyalode Lawson, described her as "a loving and compassionate mother who left an indelible mark on our lives".

The condolence message read thus: "I am profoundly saddened by the news of the passing of the Iyalode of Yoruba land, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, a woman of extraordinary kindness and unwavering commitment to community service.

"Mama Lawson, a devoted and diligent mother, lived a life that radiated positivity and purpose. She nurtured children who, in turn, have made significant contributions to their community, leaving a lasting legacy.

"As a dedicated community leader, she selflessly served humanity and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

"Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts, remembered for her humility, devotion to God, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of her people.

"As we convey our deepest sympathies to the Lawson family, the entire Yoruba community, Chambers of commerce ,friends, associates, and well-wishers, we fervently pray that God grants you the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss".
