Akinmade, Governor's Aide Promises Improved Welfare For Information Officers

The Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Media, Hon. Kayode Akinmade has assured the Ministry of Information that he will do his best to improve the welfare of Information Officers, in order to enhance their productivity.

Akinmade made this known while addressing Information Officers at the weekly statutory meeting held at the Press Centre, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

He noted that he would ensure that the ministry is equipped with state-of-the-art technology that would spur them to deliver more on their duties as core professionals, commending them for projecting the achievements of the Dapo Abiodun-led administration.

The Special Adviser also stated that public enlightenment programmes in the Ministry like Ogun dey kampe, Ijoba Tiwa n Tiwa, Giant Strides and Ogun State Review would no longer be limited to the state broadcast media, but would now be aired on other media stations and platforms, adding that he would operate an open door policy.

  In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Waheed Adesina assured him of the continued support and readiness of the ministry to collaborate with him and the media team, to adequately publicise the programmes and projects of the government.

Responding on behalf of the Information Officers, Mr. Rotimi Oduniyi, appreciated him for reckoning and synergizing with the officers towards taking information management to a higher pedestal.
