Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has charged the new Aminisan of Oko, Sagamu, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Odunayo, to collaborate with all the security agencies towards sustaining peace and tranquillity in Oko and its environs.
Abiodun who gave the charge at the installation and presentation of Staff of Office to the new monarch in Sagamu Local Government Area of the State, added that growth and development could only thrive in an atmosphere of peace, devoid of chaos and acrimonies.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi, Prince Abiodun, called for the sustenance of a more conducive environment.
He urged the indigenes of Oko community, to cooperate with the new monarch noting that "all hands must be on deck to pave the way for speedy development of the community.
In his address, the Chairman of the Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Odulate, said he was optimistic that the new monarch as a great achiever and astute leader would use his wealth of experience to bring about speedy progress in the community.
Odulate added that the council was ready to partner with the new monarch on any developmental programme that would hasten the growth and prosperity of the town.
In his remark, Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, congratulated the new monarch on his new feat, warning miscreants in the community disturbing the peace of Sagamu and Remoland to desist from every act as the government is ready to prosecute offenders.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Odunayo, appreciated Governor Abiodun for giving his assent to his ascension to the throne, promising to work hard in ensuring peaceful co-existence among the indigene.
