Special Adviser for Works to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Engineer Babatunde Akeem Adesina has promised members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Moloko-Asipa Ward of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area more dividends of democracy.
In a rare act of celebration that saw the constituents throwing a big victory party at Kobape for the re-election of Prince Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State, the special adviser told the people that they have not seen anything yet.
He assured members of APC in the ward that apart from the 200 housing-estate already built and commissioned at Kobape and other infrastructural facilities, Governor Abiodun would also provide foot-bridge (pedestrian) across Abeokuta-Sagamu Interchange Expressway at Kobape to ease the crossing of the wide road by pedestrians.
Thanking the people of Moloko-Asipa while responding to their demands, Engr. Adesina reminded them that their demands for health centre, modern market, police post and others had already been provided at the new estate built by Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration during its first term.
He, however, promised them that Governor Abiodun, being a man of integrity, would reward them adequately for being steadfast and voted massively for him, assuring them that the governor would deliver his promises.
He also thanked the APC ward leaders who worked tirelessly to lure leaders of the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to APC at the last minutes, ensuring the governor’s victory at the ward and in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area.
Amongst such former PDP leaders were Muyiwa Ojebiyi, Barr. Bimbo Balogun, Adeyemo Isiaka, Chief Oladipupo and Pastor Adeyemo.
Earlier in his welcome address, Chief Anuoluwapo Majekodunmi (aka Aja Meta) eulogized all the APC leaders in Obafemi-Owode Local Government for their support during the elections.
Baale Majekodunmi said Kobape is big enough to have its own ward, enjoining the leaders to make efforts to make the new town a ward of its own as he thanked Engr. Akeem Adesina and others for creating two polling units at the town.
The ward Chairman, Dotun Sowande said it was the votes of Obafemi-Owode Local Government that won the victory for Governor Abiodun and the party.
He said the local government area deserves to be given a commissioner in the coming dispensation.
While calling for unity and cooperation of people of the ward, he requested for a building to store hospital drugs and equipment at Kobape because the health centre at its present location was not big enough to warehouse all the subsidized drugs supplied to the health centre, urging the people of the area to key into the health insurance instituted by the Dapo Abiodun-led administration.
Amongst those present at the victory party included Chief Erishan, Nosiru Adewale, Kabiru Dasaolu, Tunde Sowunmi, Otunba Sina Oso, Alhaji Sobayo, Alaji Dopemu, and a host of others.
