President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr Pokup Buwatda as the new Chief Medical Director of the prestigious Jos University Teaching Hospital in Plateau State.
The appointment which takes effect from August 30, 2022 for an initial four year tenure was conveyed in a letter dated October 19, 2022 and signed by the Honourable Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire.
While issuing the letter of appointment to the new CMD at the ministry's headquarters in Abuja, the Minister charged him to strive to add value on the JUTH facility in order to improve the economy and also to justify the confidence reposed in him by President Buhari.
"Health sector is a key sector of the economy, you should strive to improve on the health facility in your domain, take more responsibility to improve on the economy and the condition of the Teaching Hospital", the Minister said.
On his part, the CMD JUTH who was filled with appreciation to the President, who found him worthy of the position pledged to be a team player and to do his best in moving JUTH forward.
" I pledge not to disappoint the Honourable Minister, and I will work with all stakeholders to move the place forward", he assured.
