RANDY PASTOR DEFILES 14 YEARS OLD CHOIR MEMBER ...For 3 years, mother of victim thwarts police efforts to arrest pastor

The suspect: Pastor Israel Adebayo, General Overseer of "The Beloved Chapel "

For fear of offending her pastor, for over two years, a mother thwarted all efforts of the police to arrest the General Overseer of her Church who defiled her 14 years old daughter, also a choir member in the church.

The 38 years old pastor, Israel Adebayo, the General Overseer of "The Beloved Chapel " situated at 9, Iyaniwura street, off Owonikoko Street in Agbado area of Ogun state did the despicable deed while the mother traveled to treat herself of certain ailment and her daughter who happened to be a choir member went to church.

According to a press release by SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command, the randy pastor lured the 14 years old girl into his room and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

The mother who could no longer hold it as the rape victim kept bleeding in her private part since 2021 finally helped the police to arrest the pastor following a formal complaint lodged at Agbado Divisional Police Headquarters.

Upon the report, the DPO Agbado Division detailed his detectives to the scene where the pastor was promptly picked up.

On interrogation, the pastor  admitted defiling the victim but pleaded for forgiveness.

According to the pastor, his family and that of the victim are so close, but he didn't know how and why such thing happened to him.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect would have been arrested long ago, but the mother of the victim frustrated the move because she doesn't want to offend her Pastor.

But when the victim is  continously bleeding from her private part since the incident which happened October 2021, she was left with no other option than to allow Police come into the matter.

The victim who claimed that the Pastor was the first person to sleep with her is currently recuperating in an hospital.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the transfer of the case to state Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and possible prosecution.

The CP also warned parents to stop the habit of covering up anybody who indecently assaulted their daughters no matter how close they are to such persons as they too may be liable for prosecution for compounding felony.
