Petrol Tanker Explosion: Victims To Benefit From Govt Largess

Ogun State Government has promised to provide immediate assistance to victims who lost their properties in the petrol tanker explosion at Olambe-Matogun in Ifo Local Government Area.

The State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who led a government delegation on-the-spot assessment of the area, sympathised with residents of the affected community.

Salako-Oyedele assured them of government's quick intervention to provide succour and ameliorate their losses, appreciating the youths for their timely intervention before the arrival of the fire service men.

"Our team will be on the ground to access the extent of damage in the area to support the people whose properties and means of livelihood were affected,  to enable them to get back on their feet", she assured.

The Deputy Governor noted that government was making effort to address the deplorable condition of roads across the State, adding that the reconstruction of Ijoko-Alagbole-Lambe-Akute roads in Sango-Ota and Ijoko axis had been awarded to contractors.

A resident of the area, Chief Sulaimon Ipoade, appreciated the State government’s delegation for the timely visit.
