In its efforts to up its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in order to continue to meet its increasing expenditure, Ogun State Government has sought the support of leaders of Ogun State Cooperative Federation (OGSCOFED) and Odua Conglomerates in the Southwest region of the country imploring them to fashion out ways of helping the state to improve its IGR.

The Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Abayomi Hunye, made the appeal in Abeokuta during a meeting with OGSCOFED, Odua conglomerates and other stakeholders of Cooperative societies in the State.

The Commissioner revealed that a 5-7 man Committee would be set up among the leaders of the Movement, to come up with ideas that would further engender its activities, saying “the operation of the Movement should be reviewed to tackle the present challenges facing it and for better output”.

There is need to look inward to effect positive change that will be of immense benefit to individual’s prosperity and that of the State in general”, Hon. Hunye said.
