The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami and the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajuiba are among political appointees in President Muhammadu Buhari's cabinet who may not have any more alternatives now but to resign their appointments promptly.
This followed the directives given by Mr. President to all appointees in his cabinet with presidential ambition to resign immediately.
The President gave the directive today, Wednesday at the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Others of their ilk who are scheming to eat their cakes and have it but may now be forced to resign includes the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and the minister of state for petroleum, Timipre Sylva among others.
The President's order may also affect the Governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele if he mustered enough courage to declare the touted ambition of becoming one of the now numerous presidential hopefuls of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The president has also asked those with other ambitions or contesting for various positions still foot dragging within his cabinet to resign now.
