APATHY FORCES NIGERIAN POLICE TO EXTEND RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

Lack of interest from the Southwestern part of Nigeria into the on going recruitment exercise into the Police Force has warranted an extension of its  closure to allow for enough appeal to be made to the sub-region.

The Nigerian Police Force in conjunction with the Police Service Commission has approved the extension of the application for the ongoing recruitment exercise into the Constable Cadre.

A release signed by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services, Mr. Olarewaju Saka stated that the apparent lack of interest by applicants from the Southwestern part of the country in the ongoing recruitment facilitated the approval for the extension of the exercise.

It indicated that the recruitment of new officers into the force would ensure effective policing in the length and breadth of the country and drastically reduce criminal activities.

The release further stated that the leadership of the Police Service Commission held a parley with relevant stakeholders in the zone to discuss modalities to encourage the youths to put in applications for the exercise to improve security and the overall development of the nation.

Interested applicants have been enjoined to register online via www.policerecruitment.gov.ng.
