Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Ogun State Council were in the early hours of Sunday (today) thrown into mourning as the Chairman of the state chapter, Comrade Samson Amosu died after a brief illness.
The state's number' one Journalist died after a brief illness at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta.
Late Comrade Amosu was an assistant director at the National Orientation Agency, Ogun State before his untimely demise.
Amosu, an indigene of Oke-Ore, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, was born on June 22, 1968.
The graduate of Mass Communication was elected as the Chairman of the Ogun NUJ in 2019, at a time he was completing a tenure as the Secretary of the council.
Amosu assumed the leadership of the NUJ in the state after a protracted legal tussle with dissenters who are still even engaging him in all fronts for the chairmanship of the Union until his demise.
Late Comrade Amosu is survived by wife and children. The burial arrangements is to be announced by the family later.
