The Commissioner disclosed that in realisation of this, the Ogun State government is working tirelessly on the discovery and development of aquatic tourist attraction sites, adding that these spirited-efforts were geared towards full realisation of the potentials and benefits of tourism.
“Ogun State government is working tirelessly to revamp and develop the culture and tourism sector through appropriate policies, legislation, infrastructure, promotion and projects, while Public Private Partnership will be considered to develop tourist centres for optimum economic gains to the State”, the Commissioner said.
Dr. Taiwo made this assertion at the National Press Center, Abuja during the launch of a book titled; “First Nigeria Traveller’s Guide”, noting that tourism was a genuine way out of the general economic downturn, negative unpredictable fluctuations and uncertainty in global oil price and businesses, occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.
