Talabi gives kudos to Gov. Abiodun, says he has done well

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has completed no fewer than 270km stretch of roads while re-construction and rehabilitation work were ongoing towards the delivery of more roads across the four divisions of the State in order to boost its socio-economic conditions, while easing human and vehicular movements.

 The Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi gave this appraisal of performance of Prince Dapo Abiodun led-administration on a radio personality programme in Abeokuta during the week.

Talabi affirmed that the administration has done a lot to enhance living standard adding that it will not rest on its oars at rolling out more democratic gains to the people of the State.

He noted that the administration remained steadfast with respect to ensuring that its activities were well felt across the nooks and crannies of the State. 

The State’s scribe also outlined various achievements and activities in some key sectors in relation to the ‘ISEYA’ mantra; Infrastructure, Social wellbeing, Education, Youth Empowerment and Agriculture, in the face of the economic downturn that has affected the nation at large.

The Secretary to the State government, noted that the present administration had also provided affordable housing estates in Abeokuta, Kobape, Sagamu, Ilaro, Iperu, Ota, for civil and public servants, as well as those in the informal sector.

 He said the State’s Security Trust Fund had been rejuvenated for optimum performance, through the provision of more patrol vehicles, motorcycles and other security gadgets, adding that over sixty Primary Health Care centres had been rehabilitated, with the provision of additional health equipment, while tremendous efforts had been made on agriculture, youth employment, education, among others.

Talabi, who posited that government was irrevocably committed to the sustainability of a pollution-free environment, appealed to residents to always clear their drainages and utilise the existing mobile waste vans to dispose their wastes appropriately, calling for a continued support to ensure successful implementation of her public-oriented policies.
