Lagos Govt reopens only private schools on Monday but Ogun reopens all

Governors Sanwo-Olu of Lagos and Abiodun of Ogun

Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered private schools across the state to reopen from Monday, October 26 for normal academic activities.

Private and public schools in the state were shut on Monday over safety concerns following outbreak of violence during the #ENDSARS protests.

The Governor however said public schools remain shut.
Meanwhile schools in Ogun State will also resume on Monday (OCTOBER 26).

This was announced on Sunday by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Kunle Somorin in an online announcement.

The State Government had earlier last week, declared all schools closed in the wake of rising tensions that followed nationwide protests.

"With peace returned to all parts of the State after organisers suspended protests in the State, Government has no reservations, whatsoever in reopening schools tomorrow", the announcement said.
