Application for commission into the Nigeria Army (NA) as Short Service Combatant (SSC), Commission Officers and Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Officers’ courses 2021 has commenced on August 19 and would end on September 29, 2020.
A release signed by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services, Mr. Iskeel Saka, stated that application forms are to be obtained free online on this site, recruitment.army.mil.ng, while candidates are expected to choose appropriate option, either SSC or DSSC.
According to the release, applicants are to fill out the form and upload all required documents including; passport photograph, educational certificates, evidence of membership of any professional body, certificate of State of origin and birth certificate or age declaration.
It stated further that applicants should be between the ages of 23 and 27 for SSC and 20 to 30 years for DSSC, while medical consultants should not be less than 40 years of age by January, 2021, indicating that they must also possess at least, first degree, with not less than Second Class Lower Division or Higher National Diploma (HND), with not less than Lower Credit in Arts, Science and Humanities, with National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharged Certificate.
The release disclosed that a written examination would be taken by all successful applicants at chosen designated Centres, or assigned as appropriate, with their photo-slips at examination Centres and subsequently to the selection Board during interview.
