Plane crashes into fence at Lagos Airport




A brake failure has today caused an aircraft to run into the fence at the General Aviation Terminal of the Lagos Airport.
The accident happened around 10:00am

According to an eyewitness, the King Air Jet was reparking when the driver rammed into the fence. The pilot suffered no injury and there was no passenger on board.

The brake of the jet failed to function which led to the collision of the jet with the fence of Bristow Helicopter hanger, the eyewitness said.

Information gathered by THE STATEPOST confirmed that officials of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority had visited the scene of the incident to ascertain the cause of the accident.

The King Air 200 jet with registration number 5N-HIS is operated by Mobil Oil Nigeria-Wings Aviation.
