Former Governor of the defunct Gongola State, Wilberforce Juta is dead. after brief illness.
Wilberforce Juta died after a brief illness yesterday(sarturday, 15 August), in the morning.
Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has described the death of the former governor as a shock and painful death.
Fintiri, described the former governor as an elder-stateman and pray to God to grant the ex-governor eternal rest.
Fintiri extended his condolences to the family of the deceased and also commiserates to the general public over the death of the elder statesman.

Wilberforce Juta, who was deputy governor of Gongola State from 1979, became governor early in 1983 when his principal, Abubakar Barde, resigned from office.
Juta remained governor till October, 1983 when his successor, Alhaji Bamangar Tukur, was elected.
He was Nigeria’s ambassador to Zimbabwe from 2000 to 2004 and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) until his death.
