Don't Send Your Children To Study In Northern Cyprus -Abike Dabiri

Hon Dabiri

The Nigeria in diaspora commission has warned parents against sending their children to universities in northern Cyprus over incessant and mysterious killings of Nigerians.

The chief executive officer of the commission Abike Dabiri Erewa who gave the warning, said it was too risky to send children there, as hundreds of Nigerian students have been mysteriously killed without any conclusive investigation carried out.

She made this known while receiving a delegation led by Justice Amina Bello, the mother of a Nigerian student Ibrahim khaleel, who was allegedly killed in an extricable circumstances.

Dabiri stressed that the killing of Khaleel, a third year engineering student, had brought to an unfolding point, the incessant killings of Nigerian students under baffling circumstances.

She however stated that it was difficult to employ international diplomacy in an investigation as the country was only recognised by Turkey.
