Adamu, Education Minister
The date of resumption for institutions of higher learning in Nigeria after the Covid-19 pandemic break is around the corner, the Federal Ministry of Education has confirmed.
The State Minister of Education, Emeka Nwajiuba stated that the date for resumption to tertiary institutions has not been fixed yet but his ministry is on top of the issue as they are still engaging the stakeholders on the resumption.
Making the disclosure at the 60th National joint briefing of the Presidential taskforce on Covid-19, he assured the students that they should be more patient and calm as the date for resumption is around the corner.
"The ministry is collecting opinions of the stakeholders on the resumption, if it finishes it will confront the presidential task force on covid-19 to fix the date and come up with appropriate protocols to follow", the minister said.
Tertiary institutions and even secondary schools were closed by the federal government since March of 2020 when the dreaded covid-19 was recorded in the country.
