Covid-19: Closure of churches, work of devil -Oyedepo

Bishop Oyedepo

From Foluso Adelaja

The General Overseer of Living Faith Ministries, David Oyedepo has described the recent closure of churches in the country in response to the threat of Corona virus pandemic which has claimed several lives worldwide as mere ruse of the devil noting that occult houses were not closed down all the while.

The General Overseer who condemned the church closure in mean terms threatened that ‘fire will fall’ if churches are shut down again in Nigeria.

In a recent sermon, the world acclaimed clergy noted that “I know the world will come to the point where we’ll say we are being fooled cause the devil that is deceiving the world, he has the capacity to deceive the whole world.

”Did you close down the occult houses? the Ogboni houses? Did you close them down?"
"Don’t you go there yourself?", he asked defiantly.

He said that “next time anybody tries that, fire will fall!”

“Thank God we are not fooled, Thank God we have not been fooled, Thank God he made us smarter than our enemies. Its only here they lay hands on Coronavirus patients and then walk free and heal them straight.”

The man of God said he was not among the so called clergies government claimed it consulted in taking its decisions while the charade lasted.

“Could they have asked me in person, Should we shut down the church? Can anybody ask me that question?", Oyedepo asked rhetorically.

No.. they know where to ask, they know who to call. There are many pastors like that in this country, you can’t dare them", he said defiantly.
