Remmy Hazzan's "Wisdom Nuggets For Daily Living" is a direct departure from books of its ilk in the market.
Pastor Hazzan did not waste the time of his readers with recapitulations of stories already in the Bible nor does he attempt to surreptitiously surrender the book to a worked out timetable of finishing the Bible within a year. Rather, "Wisdom Nuggets" is an exhilarating adventure in Bible scholarship.
Each Biblical reference in the book is succinctly germane to the nugget of the day that the author is bringing out. He approached the book from the perspective that his readers are knowledge-filled Christians who do not need to be spoon-fed but need just mere touch of the Good Shepherd's rod to notice the greener pastures.
Each day is accorded its exclusivity as the nugget for the day is ascribed its topic and comes with its appertaining prayer.
Another sterling quality of "Wisdom Nuggets For Daily Living" is Pastor Hazzan's authoritative prayer as an ordained minister in the Lord's vineyard which seals the prayer of the day for the reader.
"Wisdom Nuggets For Daily Living", is no doubt, a no-hold barred exploit in scriptural scholarship. Apart from its use as a daily guide for everyday early morning meditation exercise in the scripture, it will also be very useful as a reference material for all Bible scholars.
The first edition of this exhaustive periodical debuts this year covering January 1 to the eve of the new year with each day being a journey in deep scriptural exercise guaranteed to deepen the Christians' metamorphosis and culminating in Christ perfection.
Though the pagination of the quite voluminous book ends at 366 pages, there are about six preliminary pages numbered in Roman figures which are precursors to the book. These are the pages that carry the publisher's imprint, acknowledgements, the Foreword by Pastor Soji Oni, the preface e.t.c.
The book is well bound, guaranteeing its lasting its targeted duration and beyond. However, the size and volume of the book could make it table bound. It is not handy enough for portability. Maybe the author may want to consider the production of future editions on biannual or quarterly basis for easy portability.
It will also be advisable to affix days to dates in future editions for precision sake.
However, Pastor Hazzan should be applauded for sparing time from his busy schedule as a Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Ogun State, a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG) among other diverse interests to produce such a gem of erudite Biblical scholarship. The book has showed the author that even as a proselyte, he does not joke with his new faith.
The book was launched recently with pageantry by no less a personality than Chief Gbenga Daniel, the Asiwaju Onigbagbo of Remoland and a former Governor of Ogun State. The book is a must read for all.
