Police Dismiss 6 ASP Cadet Officers, Discipline Others

The management of Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano has announced the dismissal of 6 Assistant Superintendent of Police cadet officers on the ground of discipline as recommended by the Disciplinary Committee of the Academy.

The management, while announcing the dismissal in statement issued by its PRO, ASP Habib Nafiu also announced the retardation of 31 ASP’s cadet officers on the grounds of poor performance in Police Professional Duties Examinations.

The Academy also as stated by ASP Nafiu recall 15 other ASP’s cadet officers of 2nd Regular Course on the grounds of failing to meet the required academic prerequisite for the award of Bachelor’s Degree in their respective academic fields.

The statement reads inter alia: “In view of the collective decisions reached by the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigairi Dingiyadi, the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed A. Adamu, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Department of Training and Development, DIG Lawal She hu, the FORCE SEC, AIG Alkali Baba Usman, the Commandant Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil-Mano, AIG Zanna M. Ibrahim and the AIG Department of Training and Development, AIG David Folawiyo on 14th April, 2020 on issues that affects general discipline and academic standard of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wuldi-Kano after a report was submitted by a visitation panel to POLAC between 23rd to 27th March, 2020.

“Subsequently, the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs in a letter referenced MPA/PS/CORR/PAW/1026/13 dated April 27, 2020 has upheld the dismissal of 6 ASP’s Cadet Officers on the ground of discipline as recommended by the Disciplinary Committee of the Academy”
