What stands Christianity as a religion out from other faiths is not the believe that Heaven and Hell are real.
Almost all the faiths of this tumultuous world believe in Al-jiunath, Nirvana or Paradise by any name.
Who wouldn't? Its the only way to scorn the ever present dread of death on this short-lived planet. At least, the rigid belief that there is life after life helps to give us respite that this world is not for nothing and fantasize about an utopic life beyond.
However, what makes the difference in Christianity from other contemporary belief system is the tenet that it is you as an individual that will choose which of the two places you want to go after this world.
After you have made your choice of where you want to be after this world, the rest is easy- you just give it all you've got to make sure you attain your objective.
Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo is a candidate of Heaven, THE STATEPOST can confidentially say.
Afterall, he has, by himself, revealed the place he desires to go when he dies.
He has categorically mentioned he needs to make heaven when he dies.
He said this would allow him to be part of the hosts of heaven that would sing to the Almighty.
Obasanjo wax religious after listening to a fantastic rendition of heavenly songs by the Apostolic Church Orchestra on their camp floor in Igbesa, Ogun state.
He chose the occasion to also confirm the minister of The Most High in him as he warned Christians in Nigeria to be ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ as the end of the world is near.
“You must be absolutely ready for the second coming of our Lord, there isn’t any compromise. I’ve a pal who will all the time say that once we get to heaven that we are going to be exhausted praising God and will probably be like the jailed and this can be very boring.
“However what I’ve seen by the choir, I’ll need to go to heaven and be part of the hosts to sing. If that is an instance of what praising God in heaven can be, then I need to be a part of it. If what I’ve seen right here is a sign of how heaven can be, I’ll like go to heaven.
“Jesus Christ got here to the world to indicate to us the way to salvation and everlasting life. We have heritage and we have the whole lot to be happy with.
“Nigeria may be mouthing God, however we’ve got to ask Him into our lives. What we have to do about this nation is in our palms. God’s grace abounds when we don’t abuse it.”he mentioned.
